Since college campuses in Nebraska have been implementing new techniques to curb binge drinking, this has significantly reduced binge drinking not only on college campuses but in communities also. Binge drinking reduced to nearly 20 percent and close to 70 percent reduction in house parties where alcohol abuse is more likely to take place.

In the State of Nebraska, anyone who drives under the influence of alcohol is a danger to the health and safety of all persons using the roadways. Driving in Nebraska with a blood alcohol level of .08% or higher is against the law and you are guilty of violating the Nebraska 'per se' law which states that you are guilty if you are found to be driving a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol concentration .08% or greater. There is no evidence of impairment required after this. If the officer suspects that you are driving while intoxicated you can be arrested. Signs that show impairment such as your driving pattern, your physical appearance, the officer's judgment, and whether or not you pass the field sobriety tests are used to prove DUI.

Figuring out what will curb binge drinking is not an easy task. The problem will require constant monitoring and laws in place to deter people from participating in binge drinking.
